CARING FOR YOUR SILVER JEWLERY
For everyday use, I suggest following these guidelines:
- Always remove your jewelry before going to bed, showering, or exercising.
- Avoid contact with perfume, creams, and cleaning products.
Silver jewelry will naturally oxidize over time. This oxidation occurs when the jewelry comes into contact with oxygen, the skin's natural oils, and sweat. It can cause black spots or rust-like discoloration. This is a natural process and is not considered a defect.
You can clean your jewelry using lukewarm water, a soft toothbrush, and mild dish soap. If oxidation remains, you can wipe it with the polishing cloth included with your purchase.
Another method to remove oxidation is using aluminum foil and salt. Place boiling water in a bowl with small pieces of aluminum foil and a bit of salt. Let your jewelry sit in the water for a few minutes, then rinse it with clean water. Note: This method should not be used on jewelry with gemstones.
You are always welcome to visit my workshop to have your jewelry polished.
